Since 2003, JazzIncubator has been an event under DølaJazz Lillehammer Jazz Festival. JazzIncubator is an event by young people, for young people.
This year's JazzIncubator is conducted in collaboration between students of sustainable tourism and event management and the TV school at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. This interdisciplinary collaboration is not only crucial for the execution of the event but also plays an important role in talent development for young artists, organizers, and producers.
JazzIncubator has now increased to an international level, with applicants from all over Europe. The festival is an opportunity for students to make new connections with other musicians across borders. The artists offer a variety within the jazz genre.
New in 2025!
This year, JazzIncubator expands its program with a dedicated theme day for jazz and folk music. This day will explore how the two genres can merge and create new musical expressions, offering the audience unique experiences of genre-crossing performances.
With the new theme day, we at JazzIncubator hope to attract more young talents and give the audience a unique and memorable music experience. The festival is a great opportunity for young musicians to shine and showcase their creativity. We look forward to seeing how jazz and folk music can merge and create something entirely new at JazzIncubator 2025.
Do you want to take part in this exciting new theme day or the other days of the festival? Submit an application by August 1, 2025! Write about yourself and/or your band, include links to audio/video or a file with a demo. It is important to specify which educational institution you represent.
