Volunteers

DølaJazz is a festival run by volunteers, and the volunteers are the festival's most important resource! The festival's board is a working and voluntary board that lays the foundation for creating a good festival. The festival has a total of about 120 volunteers, and without their work effort, it would not be possible to organize DølaJazz.

As a volunteer, you get:
• Volunteer pass that gives access to all the festival's concerts (that are not sold out).
• Group leaders get their own pass that gives access to all concerts without reservation.
• T-shirt
• Meal voucher on the days you work.
• Volunteer gathering
• 20% discount on framing at Galleri Zink during Dølajazz (this means, for example, you get a 20% discount on the frame price if you buy framed artworks at the festival exhibition).
• 15% discount on accommodation at Breiseth Hotel throughout October + during the festival.
• 20% discount on all food and drinks from Fika coffee and smoothie bar during the festival (upon presentation of the volunteer card). Does not apply to alcohol.
• Own certificate (if desired). Volunteer work can be useful to have on your CV.
• First aid course

What we expect from you:
• Show up at the agreed time and do the job you are assigned.
• How much you have to work depends on which group you work in and what time of day your shifts are. The starting point is 8 – 12 hours per volunteer.
• Wear the volunteer T-shirt/vest when you are on duty.
• That you do not consume alcohol or other intoxicants on duty.
• If you see something that needs to be done, do it yourself or contact your group leader.
• Keep the audience in focus. They have paid to enjoy good music and expect us as volunteers to be on it. Be positive and friendly.
