"Storbandaften" på Heartbox

The evening opens with Lillehammer Storband, performing compositions and arrangements by Jan Andresen, a key figure in Lillehammer’s jazz community. Joined by soloists Maria Gram and Torbjørn Gording Backsæther, the big band will present a varied and engaging program under the direction of Vegard Eggen.

Next, Innlandet Youth Jazz Orchestra (IJO), led by Nils Andreas “Nilas” Grosås Granseth, takes over. Bringing together talented young musicians from across the Innlandet region, the orchestra has been a regular and much-loved part of DølaJazz since its founding in 2018.

The evening concludes with Gjøkur, the band led by last year’s DølaJazz Talent Award winner Markus Dyrud. Blending jazz with influences from fusion, rock, and danceable grooves, the group delivers energetic and melodic instrumental music. The audience can also look forward to a special collaboration between Gjøkur and IJO during parts of the concert.
