Trond Wiger (GODE ORD DØR SIST, among others) and Erlend Smalås (Rasmus og verdens beste band, among others) are behind Enok Monk, a distinctive musical collaboration where presence, rhythm, and lyrics are at the center. With a combined 70 years of experience in Norwegian music, they have each collaborated with a number of outstanding musicians and performed on stages all over the country. Together, they have been playing concerts since 2008.

In recent years, the duo has released two albums as Enok Monk. The music is characterized by a direct and unpretentious expression, where the acoustic bass forms the foundation for lyrics, rhythms, and improvised encounters in the moment. The result is a format that challenges traditional genres and moves in the borderland between concert, poetry reading, and sound art.

The duo themselves describe the expression as "spoken bass," "illegal combo," or simply presence in its most concentrated form. A concert with Enok Monk is an intense and distinctive experience that invites the audience to listen closely and experience the music as it arises here and now.
