Kleppan kvartett

Through years of performing, touring, and leading his own projects, Amund Kleppan has developed a unique musical voice rooted in experiences from Norway, Germany, and the United Kingdom. His music combines contemporary jazz traditions with a personal and expressive approach.

Kleppan holds a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied with renowned artists including Dave Holland, Craig Taborn, James Maddren, Martin France, Stan Sulzmann, and Orlando Le Fleming. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor's degree at the Jazz Institute Berlin.

In 2019, Kleppan made his debut as a bandleader with the album Venture. The release received international attention and critical acclaim, including a four-star review in the British publication Jazz Journal, which highlighted both the young multinational ensemble and Kleppan's strong leadership.
