Living Room // Jazzincubator

Living Room is a Tromsø-based band consisting of ten students from the Music Conservatory at UiT. With a horn section and backing vocalists, the ensemble creates a large and energetic soundscape.

The band plays original music at the intersection of funk, soul, and jazz, inspired by Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, and Bernhoft. Living Room was started in January 2025 by vocalist Silje Michalewicz. Since its inception, the band has developed its own repertoire, opened for local bands, and performed at the Music Conservatory's exams.

In October 2025, they received support from Tvibitstigen to record two tracks at Kysten Studio. The songs will soon be released on streaming services and reach more Norwegian stages.
