Paneldebatt: 'Festival i en digital verden' // JazzHub

Dolajazz JazzHub

Panel Debate: Festival in a Digital World (in norwegian)
What do physical meeting places mean in a time when digital platforms dominate our daily lives, and we increasingly meet through screens? For a long time, festivals have been places where people gather to experience music, art, culture, and community. But what role do they play now, in a time when we can experience concerts in VR, stream festival experiences from home, and keep in touch with a sea of people without leaving the couch? And how does this digitalization affect festivals?

Dida Mohammed: Debate leader. Freelance TV worker, Bachelor from the TV School.
Anne-Thea Haavind: Head of Administration at World Expression Forum. Former marketing manager at Kongsberg Jazz Festival. Dølajazz board.
Magnus Bakken: Jazz musician (saxophonist and composer), known for his solo career as well as various band collaborations. Educated at, among others, Berklee College of Music.
Aksel Tjora (audience representative): Professor of sociology at NTNU. He researches social interaction and community, studying this in organizations, in the digital world, in public spaces, and in festivals and other events.

The panel debate is part of JazzHub; a meeting place for music-interested young adults where they can receive professional input, meet others, and build networks.
