Iver Kleive and Knut Reiersrud are a duo we know holds a place in the hearts of the Lillehammer audience. They are beloved musicians who draw full houses across the country and have been doing so for over 30 years. Since the release of “Blå Koral” (Kirkelig Kulturverksted, 1991), they have developed a unique musical expression, where organ and guitar meet in a soulful and powerful tonal world. The music is strongly influenced by both Norwegian and international folk tunes and hymn melodies, and thus carries themes of creation and transformation.

It's about life. So there are vast landscapes in this music. Where the church organ can roar and fill the largest spaces, a small guitar on a lap can evoke the most intimate musical moments. Or, to turn it around, a delicate melody on a church organ makes us hold together and listen inwardly, while a hissing electric guitar outburst goes straight to the gut. This is the framework within which Iver Kleive (organ) and Knut Reiersrud (guitar) play. Look forward to a great experience on October 17th in Lillehammer Church!
